The Civil Society Network - EUSDR
The Civil Society Network has evolved from the opening event of the EU Danube Strategy on 11 July 2011 at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart, Germany.
Ever since, this informal network is meeting regularly in different locations in Baden-Württemberg discussing social, education and health problems in the context of the EUSDR.
The main institutional partners for project development and execution are Agapedia Foundation, Liebenau Foundation and Diakonisches Werk in Baden. Together with around 30-40 long term actors from private and public authorities smaller and dedicated volunteer workers individuals they all engage in diverse projects to support especially disadvantaged groups and individuals and also aim to make the Danube region a better place for all.
The Civil Society Network has a very good cooperation with:
- Baden-Württemberg Foundation,
- State Ministry Baden-Württemberg,
- Academic institutions: wherever possible projects and reflections are coordinated with academia, eg. CSI Center for Social Innovation and Investment, Heidelberg University, University of Applied Science DHBW, Heidenheim, or Stuttgart Media University (HdM).
